Kyoto University signed a global academic partnership with UCLA; activity between Kyoto University’s Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) and UCLA’s Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics (MIMG) in the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) and the College of Life Sciences. We will internationally cooperate in conferences, research projects, and postgraduate education and training.

The online symposium titled "Coronavirus Infection and Nanomedicine" was held on December 5. Eleven speakers gave lectures, and we had a stimulating discussion on how to approach new coronavirus infections from the perspective of nanotechnology.

The opening ceremony of Quantum Nano Medicine Center was held! Our loooong journey for development of quantum nano medicine has just started.  

Quantum Nano Medicine Research Center starts our studies actively from TODAY!! The center is expected to have initiative to develop a new academic discipline integrating quantum beams and nanomaterials. Watch the next news!! 

UCLA-Onsite Laboratory "Quantum Nano Medicine Research Center" was approved as one of the Kyoto University Onsite Labs recently. See the announcement by Kyoto University (http://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/ja/about/events_news/office/kikaku-joho/kikaku/news/2019/190723_1.html ). 

This center, one of the onsite labs within the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS), will initiate activity on October 1, 2019 and aims to advance a new field of research that emerged from the fusion of physics and medicine.

Professor Tamanoi will coordinate this center activity.
